In what turned into the best game of Week 1, former Wisconsin QB Jack Coan made a statement in his first start with Notre Dame.
Coan, who started for a portion of 2018 and all of 2019 for Wisconsin, transferred following a foot injury that occurred in before the start of the 2020 season. He fit right in during game number one with the Fighting Irish.
In a 41-38 OT win over Florida State, Coan threw a career-high 4 touchdown passes to lead the Irish. He had a monster start to the game, leading Notre Dame to an opening TD drive that took only 2:11.
Wisconsin will be reunited with Coan come September 25 when Notre Dame faces the Badgers at Soldier Field.
