Some things are just as engrained in the world of college football as the actual sport itself.
ESPN analyst Lee Corso is one of those things.
For decades he has been going on ESPN’s College GameDay and making selections in thrilling fashion, grabbing the headgear of the team that he likes and donning it in front of either a celebrating or booing crowd. Corso has done this a number of times in Eugene, creating a long-lasting friendship with the Oregon Ducks mascot over the years.
He has even gone as far as bringing a live duck on stage with him last year ahead of Oregon’s marquee game against the UCLA Bruins, picking the Duck to win.

On Saturday, Corso celebrated the 400th time that he would make a headgear selection. As you would expect, ESPN put together a touching tribute video for the occasion, showing some of the history behind the theatrics.
The Duck, unsurprisingly, is well represented.

It is unclear when or if Corso will get to do an Oregon game this year, but there is an expectation that GameDay will likely be in Eugene for the Ducks’ game against the USC Trojans later this season. Should that happen as expected, Corso will get one more chance to put on his favorite Duck head.
