WATCH: Dolphins LB Andrew Van Ginkel records pick-6 vs. Commanders

The Dolphins now have defensive scores in back-to-back games.

The Miami Dolphins had a 10-point lead against the Washington Commanders with just over a minute remaining in the first quarter.

After an ugly offensive drive, Vic Fangio’s defensive took the field at Washington’s 38-yard line. And, on the first play of the Commanders’ possession, quarterback Sam Howell threw a ball right into the chest of Dolphins linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, who was able to return it for a touchdown.

The touchdown, Miami’s second defensive score in as many weeks, gave the Dolphins a 17-0 lead with less than a minute to go in the first period.
