The Seattle Seahawks appear to have found another young star in their growing secondary. Cornerback Devon Witherspoon, the No. 5 overall pick from the 2023 NFL draft, has turned plenty of heads since he stepped on the field.

Originally questioned by some who felt the Seahawks should have taken a defensive lineman, Witherspoon has won over any doubters with his remarkable play this year. Easily the favorite for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, the former Illinois standout has another accolade to add to his growing resume: Pro Bowler.

As one of the three Seahawks named to the Pro Bowl, alongside Bobby Wagner and Julian Love, the rookie took time to explain how he found out:

The Pro Bowl may not be what it once was, but to be named to the series of events is still an incredible accomplishment. It is a sign of respect from fans, fellow players, and those around the league about the high level of play from said player.

Well done, Spoon!
