Watch: Derek Carr moves to No. 2 all-time in Raiders passing TD’s set up by masterful pass to Hunter Renfrow

With the second ticking away in the second quarter of the Raiders game in New England today, Derek Carr threw what looked like his fifth touchdown of the season. And it was a beauty. So too was the catch. An over-the-shoulder pass to Hunter Renfrow with two defenders closing in. Take a look.

As it turned out, Renfrow was just shy of the goal line, but it put the Raiders in first and goal with nine seconds left in the quarter. The next play Derek Carr dropped back and threw the quick pass to a wide-open Foster Moreau to tie get the score anyway.

The touchdown brought the Raiders to within three points of the Patriots, down 13-10 at the half.

It was also a touchdown pass for the record books as it gives Carr 148 passing touchdowns for his career, and pulled him even with Daryle Lamonica for second all-time in franchise history.

That means, of course, that one more touchdown pass will put Derek Carr in sole possession of second-most all-time. But it also means he is just two more touchdown passes from tying Ken Stabler (150) for the most passing touchdowns in franchise history.
