WATCH: Commanders DE Chase Young working out ahead of Week 8 game vs. Colts

Chase Young working out ahead of the Week 8 game without a brace.

Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young will be back on the field soon. Young, who tore his ACL last November, was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list to begin the season.

Each week, we continue to see more of Young working out on the field with a brace. Last week, head coach Ron Rivera noted that Young’s appointment with Dr. James Andrews went well and he would likely return to practice this week.

Ahead of Washington’s Week 8 game against the Colts, Young was spotted on the field, working out with teammates —without a brace. Young had a long sleeve over his surgically repaired right knee.

If Young returns to practice this week, his 21-day clock will begin, meaning the Commanders have 21 days to activate him to the main roster or he will miss the remainder of the season.

All things appear to be trending in the right direction for Young’s return.
