Colin Cowherd is one of the most well-known talking heads covering sports, and while his opinion isn’t always welcomed by Alabama fans, the Fox Sports 1 host did recently have a take many Tide supporters will like.
On Tuesday, Cowherd named Alabama, as well as Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC, a tier-one college football program. It was an interesting take considering schools like Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and several others were all in tier-two.

Other fan bases may not agree with Cowherd’s take, as USC doesn’t currently seem to be on the level of several others listed beneath them, but hear his reasoning in the clip below:

The reasoning did make sense. Regardless of who should’ve claimed that fourth spot, however, Alabama has firmly entrenched itself as one of the premier college football programs in the country — big surprise, we know!
But for Cowherd to speak highly of the Crimson Tide after being harsh on them in the past will more than likely be a fresh air for fans.
