Rookie running back Deneric Prince was the talk of the town in St. Joseph, Missouri during Kansas City Chiefs training camp and scored his first NFL touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday.
The play came late in the fourth quarter and put the Chiefs up by four scores to effectively seal Kansas City’s first exhibition win of the 2023 season.

Though the run itself was relatively unspectacular, it marked a career milestone for the promising rookie, who many believe may be a candidate to make the Chiefs’ 53-man roster. Prince would end the game as Kansas City’s second-leading rusher with 20 yards on six carries.
While the result of this game is inconsequential in the grand scheme of the Chiefs’ 2023 campaign, it provided several prospects like Prince a chance to show what they can bring to the field ahead of the 2023 regular season kickoff in September. Watch for Prince to finish strong in Kansas City’s final preseason tilt next week against the Cleveland Browns.
