Michigan State Basketball fans who like to follow Spartan alumni in the NBA had a lot to celebrate this week. Two of the greatest Spartans of all time (I don’t think this is hyperbolic), Cassius Winston and Xavier Tillman, were drafted this week in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft and now we get to see how they handle basketball at the next level.
Tillman was drafted first at No. 35 in the second round by the Memphis Grizzlies (the pick was traded by Sacramento), where he will now rejoin this long-time teammate Jaren Jackson Jr.
Cassius Winston was taken a little later at No. 53 by the Washington Wizards (in a pick acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers.
