The Crimson Tide are in the College Football Playoff facing off against the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Cotton Bowl Classic in Dallas, and it isn’t remotely close as of the early fourth quarter.
The defense has performed immaculately. This Alabama defensive unit has allowed just 127 yards of total offense to the Bearcats and they don’t seem poised to stop the dominance in the trenches yet. They have recorded four sacks with plenty of time remaining to add to that tally.
Offensively, the Crimson Tide have demonstrated a run-first offense in this one with Brian Robinson over 160 yards on 22 carries. He’s averaging 7.5 yards per rush. That’s certainly not to say the passing game isn’t working, Bryce Young has tallied more than 170 yards and has tossed up three touchdown passes.
On the first drive of the fourth quarter, the Crimson Tide drove down the field brilliantly and methodically. It was capped off with a nine-yard touchdown pass from Young to tight end Cameron Latu.
