WATCH: Boston’s Grant Williams scores 17 points on Pistons on 4-of-7 shooting from deep

The Tennessee product was a rare bright spot in Boston’s stumble vs. Detroit on Wednesday.

While it came in a trap game the Boston Celtics should have easily won, forward Grant Williams still managed to have himself quite the game against the Detroit Pistons in the 112 – 111 loss that snapped the Celtics’ league-longest nine-game winning streak heading into the All-Star break.

The Tennessee product got a start in the absence of frontcourt teammate Robert Williams III as he nurses a sore right calf back to full health and made full use of it on his way to putting up 17 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in a team-high 41 minutes of playing time. Williams shot a very solid 6-of-11 from the floor, a sizzling 4-of-7 from 3-point range, and sunk his sole attempt from the charity stripe.

We know you probably do not want to revisit the game itself given its outcome, but whether you want to see how G-Will played on Wednesday again or for the first time, check out the clip embedded below courtesy of fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.
