WATCH: Boston Celtics 2021-22 preseason stock watch – what’s rising and falling?

The Boston Celtics have the first returns of the season we can use to assess them with, but how much can one exhibition game tell us?

After a single game of NBA preseason action for the Boston Celtics ahead of their 2021-22 season, how much can we glean about the fortunes of the team moving forward? Lots of ball movement, but lots of missed shots and turnovers suggests there’s work to be done with this roster before we will know for sure.

But we can make some general observations about the stock of individual players on the team and the team more generally, as well as what roles players may have under new head coach Ime Udoka. On their most recent episode, hosts of the CLNS Media podcast “Winning Plays” dove into this topic head-first, as well as Boston’s returns in the annual preseason GM survey.

Watch the video embedded below to hear what Rich Levine and Brian Robb have to say about the first returns we have to date on the 2021-22 Celtics while we wait for their Saturday preseason exhibition tilt with the Toronto Raptors.
