It was another outstanding defensive performance from the Washington Football Team in Monday night’s 17-15 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Washington held its fourth consecutive opponent to under 300 total yards and held Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson in check for much of the night.
While Washington didn’t post big sack numbers, it created enough pressure on Wilson, particularly inside, to impact his performance. As you’d expect, Washington defensive tackle Jonathan Allen had another superb effort.
Allen finished the game with only two tackles, but he dominated the interior of Seattle’s offensive line. Pro Football Focus gave Allen its highest grade for a Washington player in Week 12, with a grade of 91. 4.
Cornerback Kendall Fuller has played much better of late after a slow start to the season. He had his best game of the season on Monday, shutting down Seahawks star wideout DK Metcalf. Metcalf had just one reception. Fuller was credited with three passes defensed and also had the game-clinching interception on a two-point conversion.
Fuller earned a 90.7 grade from PFF.
Defensive tackle Daron Payne had another outstanding effort, recording an 84.4 grade, while cornerback William Jackson III finished an 82.0 grade. Jackson, like Fuller, had a slow start to the season but has looked like the player Washington envisioned in recent weeks.
Left tackle Charles Leno was the WFT’s highest-graded offensive player at 74.4.
