Nationals 7, Mets 2

Moneyline (ML)

The NATIONALS (-150) finally found their hitting shoes, erupting for a season-high 16 runs in a rout of the Mets (+135) Monday. Now, it looks like their ace is healthy and they’re the play yet again. Porcello did post a quality start and win against the Nats last week, but he is going to be on the short end in this pitching matchup.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The NATIONALS (-1.5, +105) spanked the Mets in the series opener, and they’ll do it again Tuesday. Porcello cannot be trusted to turn in back-to-back quality starts, and as long as Scherzer doesn’t hobble off early, the defending champs are a good play on this alternate run line.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 8 (-110) is once again the lean. The Nats smashed the Over times two in Monday’s rout. The Mets will have some difficulty solving Scherzer, and that’s the biggest worry about playing the over.
