Washington elevates WR Cam Sims from practice squad for Week 1 vs. Eagles

Wide receiver Cam Sims has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s season opener vs. the Eagles.

As part of the rules of the Practice Squad, the Washington Football Team has elevated WR Cam Sims from the practice squad for Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, meaning that he will be eligible to play in the season opener.

Now that he is on the active roster, Cam Sims will be alongside Terry McLaurin, Steven Sims, Dontrelle Inman, Antonio Gandy-Golden, and Isaiah Wright on the WR depth chart. While Sims can definitely add some depth to the receiving corps, he will also have an opportunity to be useful on special teams should the team decide to use him on kick off or kick return.
