Warriors waive veteran wing Langston Galloway

After three preseason games, the Golden State Warriors are waiving veteran wing Langston Galloway.

With the preseason underway and the regular season nearing, the Golden State Warriors are beginning to make changes to their roster before opening night.

After signing Langston Galloway before the start of training camp, the veteran guard’s time in Golden State is coming to an end. On Saturday, the Warriors announced they were waiving Galloway.

Galloway played three preseason games with Golden State, averaging 3.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 8.8 minutes per game.

The seven-year veteran was one of the players in competition for Golden State’s 15th and final roster spot. With Galloway waived, Avery Bradley, Gary Payton II, Mychal Mulder and Jordan Poole will be potential candidates for the Warriors’ 15th roster spot.

The four players will have just two more preseason games to prove they belong on Golden State’s roster for the opening day of the NBA season.

The Warriors will meet the Lakers at Staples Center on Tuesday, Oct. 13 for another preseason contest.
