Advice and prediction

While Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum won’t be on the floor due to injury, still expect fireworks at Chase Center on Wednesday night. It starts and ends with the Golden State Warriors All-Star point guard.

After drilling seven triples against the Magic on Monday, Curry only needs 16 3-pointers to snap Ray Allen’s all-time record. While the idea of hitting 16 jumpers from beyond the arc seems unbelievable, Curry could have the firepower to get it done. Along with rewriting the record books for most made 3-pointers, he would have to break his teammate Klay Thompson’s record for most made triples in a single game (14).

If Curry can’t bury 16 3-pointers on Wednesday, his record-breaking performance likely won’t come in front of his home crowd in San Francisco. The Warriors will head on a five-game road trip after Wednesday’s contest.

Luckily for Curry, the Blazers sit at the bottom of the NBA in defensive rating at 112.9. In addition, the Blazers have lost three consecutive games, including a blowout 145-117 loss to the Boston Celtics.

With Curry letting it rip from long distance and the Blazers boasting a shaky defense, over 215.5 is the bet to keep an eye on during Wednesday’s contest.

Prediction: Warriors 127, Trail Blazers 103
