The Golden State Warriors will renew familiarity with the Utah Jazz on Saturday night when Steph Curry and crew pay a visit to Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert for a competition at Salt Lake City’s Vivint Arena.
Thanks in part to Draymond Green’s ejection, the Warriors suffered a 119-104 loss to the visiting New York Knicks on Thursday night, which has them entering Saturday night’s contest at 8-7.
The Jazz, on the other hand, have been on the receiving end of some spirited play from young phenom Donovan Mitchell. Utah will carry a seven-game win streak into the contest after securing consecutive victories over the New Orleans Pelicans on Jan. 19 and Jan. 21.
Mitchell will enter the contest averaging 24.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per contest. The task of slowing him down is one the Warriors are likely to share, and Steve Kerr’s team will be facing a great challenge.
