Warriors’ Steph Curry pays tribute to NBA legend Craig Sager with special edition sneakers in Game 4

With a special edition pair of Curry Brand sneakers, Steph Curry paid tribute to NBA broadcasting legend Craig Sager in Game 4 against the Grizzlies.

When Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry suited up to meet the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 4 on Monday night, he donned a special pair of sneakers to honor a late NBA legend.

Curry paid tribute to longtime broadcaster Craig Sager with a special pair of orange Curry Brand Flow 9s for Game 4. According to Nick DePaula of ESPN, the shoe design was inspired by Sager’s suit and tie he wore in his final interview with Curry in 2016.

Along with honoring Sager on the court in Game 4, Curry plans to sign the one-of-a-kind shoes after the game and auction them off to benefit The Sager Strong Foundation. The link for the auction is set to go live on May 11 before the Warriors play the Grizzlies in Memphis for Game 5.
