Warriors’ Eric Paschall ‘doubtful’ to play Friday vs. the Jazz

The second-round pick has been dealing with lingering hip soreness after he was questionable to play on Wednesday against the Knicks.

Golden State Warriors rookie forward Eric Paschall is listed as doubtful to play Friday night against the Utah Jazz due to left hip soreness, the team announced.

The second-round pick has been dealing with lingering hip soreness after he was questionable to play on Wednesday against the New York Knicks. Paschall managed to suit up in that contest, recording just five points in 17 minutes of work.

After a strong start to his rookie campaign, Paschall has struggled over his last two outings for the Warriors, perhaps a result of his injury. He has totaled just 10 points in those two games, shooting just 25% (4-of-16) from the field as the Warriors lost both games.

The injury to Paschall is just the latest to hit the Warriors as 12 players have missed at least one game due to an injury. Of course, Klay Thompson is out for the season and Stephen Curry is out indefinitely after breaking his left hand.

In 25 games this season, Paschall is averaging 16.1 points, five rebounds and 1.7 assists for the Warriors. He leads all rookies in total points scored and is second in field goals made.
