After dropping back-to-back games to the Milwaukee Bucks, Kevin Durant put on a show in game five on Tuesday night in Brooklyn. With James Harden coming off an injury and Kyrie Irving sidelined, Durant took over in game five.
The former Golden State Warriors product caught fire for 49 points on 16-of-23 shooting from the floor and 4-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. Durant registered 17 boards and 10 assists to complete an emphatic triple-double performance for the Nets. The former NBA Finals Most Valuable Player added three steals and a pair of blocks on the way to a Nets win in Brooklyn over the Bucks, 114-108.
Following Durant’s heroic effort against the Bucks in game five, his former Golden State teammate chimed in on social media. Warriors forward Draymond Green shared two tweets in response to Durant’s performance against Milwaukee.
