Warriors’ Damion Lee reacts to Trae Young’s performance in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals vs. Bucks

Following a fiery performance from Trae Young in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, Warriors guard Damion Lee reacted to his effort on Twitter.

After pushing the Atlanta Hawks through the first two rounds of the postseason, Trae Young showed no signs of slowing down in the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Young came out firing, tallying 25 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the floor with four assists and four boards in the opening half against the Milwaukee Bucks. The former Oklahoma Sooner stayed hot in the second half on the way to a fiery 48 points performance on 17-of-34 shooting from the field. Young added 11 dimes, seven rebounds and a steal in 41 minutes.

The 22-year-old guard provided a highlight in the third quarter with a shimmy 3-pointer. Young drilled a wide open triple after taking a second to shimmy.

The 2020 All-Star guard’s 48 points helped Atlanta secure a win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks on the road in game one, 116-113.

During Young’s memorable first appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals, a member of the Golden State Warriors chimed in with a response on social media. Warriors guard Damion Lee praised Young’s effort during game one against the Bucks with a tweet.

During 13 games in the 2021 postseason, Young is averaging 30.5 points on 42.2% shooting from the floor with 10.5 assists and three rebounds per contest.

Following game one, the Bucks will have a chance to even the series against the Hawks in game two on Friday at 5:30 p.m. PT.
