Before officially opening their 2022 title defense in the regular season, the Golden State Warriors will participate in five preseason games to get ready for opening night.
On Wednesday, the Warriors announced their preseason slate for the 2022-23 season. With training camp set to start on September 24 in San Francisco, the Warriors’ preseason opener will tip off on September 30 at 3 a.m. PT.
Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green will open the preseason with back-to-back contests against the Washington Wizards overseas. Both of the Warriors’ preseason games against the Wizards will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
Following their trip to Japan, the Warriors will play three games at Chase Center against the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets.

During the preseason, the Warriors will get to mesh new free agent additions and rookies with their already established championship core. Curry, Thompson, Green, Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole will get their first chance to play alongside players like JaMychal Green, Donte DiVencenzo and Patrick Baldwin Jr.
