Warriors add Mac McClung to Summer League roster

Before the start of games in Las Vegas, the Warriors added Mac McClung to the Summer League squad.

After dropping three consecutive games in the California Classic, the Golden State Warriors have made an addition to their Summer League roster before games start in Las Vegas.

The Warriors have reportedly added G League standout, Mac McClung to their Summer League rotation for their upcoming run of games in the desert.

During the California Classic at San Francisco’s Chase Center, McClung suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers. Against the Warriors, the former Red Raider tallied nine points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field with four boards and two assists in 19 minutes off the bench.

Prior to joining the Warriors Las Vegas Summer League squad, McClung was named G League Rookie of the Year in 2021-22 with the South Bay Lakers and Windy City Bulls, averaging 21.5 points on 47% shooting from the field with 7.5 assists and 6.7 rebounds per contest.

McClung appeared in one game with the Los Angeles Lakers and one game with the Chicago Bulls during the 2021-22 NBA campaign.

The 23-year-old guard went undrafted in 2021 after spending his college career with Georgetown and Texas Tech.

McClung will join an already intriguing Summer League roster that includes top prospects like James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and Patrick Baldwin Jr.

The Warriors will open the Las Vegas Summer League schedule on Friday against the New York Knicks at 5 p.m. PT.
