The Vols are victorious in overtime against Ole Miss.

No. 18 Tennessee (10-3, 1-1 SEC) captured its first Southeastern Conference victory of the season against Ole Miss (9-5, 0-1 SEC)Wednesday at Thompson-Boling Arena.

After trailing throughout most of the contest, Tennessee defeated Ole Miss, 66-60, in overtime.

Santiago Vescovi had 17 points to lead Tennessee (10-3, 1-1 SEC). He also finished with six rebounds and five assists.

Tennessee’s defense forced 27 turnovers, the most Ole Miss has committed in a game since 2005.

Olivier Nkamhoua had 13 points for Tennessee. Josiah-Jordan James added 10 points and eight rebounds. Zakai Zeigler finished with eight points and five rebounds.

The Rebels’ Tye Fagan, a transfer from Georgia, led all scorers with a career-high 23 points.
