Vols shut out Vanderbilt in regular-season finale

Tennessee shuts out Vanderbilt in regular-season finale.

No. 11 Tennessee (10-2, 6-2 SEC) ended its 2022 regular season with a 56-0 victory at Vanderbilt (5-7, 2-5 SEC).

It was a historic game for the Vols as Tennessee had two 80-yard rushing touchdowns in the same game for the first time in program history.

The victory clinched Tennessee’s first 10-win regular season since 2003.

The Vols scored during the first 55 seconds. Jabari Small rushed for a 3-yard touchdown.

Princeton Fant extended the Vols’ advantage to 14-0 on a 2-yard run on fourth down late in the first quarter.

Dee Williams scored on a 75-yard touchdown punt return during the second quarter.

The Vols scored three touchdowns in the third quarter, while totaling two in the fourth quarter.
