Vols’ commit Dylan Loy named Gatorade Player of the Year

Tennessee commit Dylan Loy named Gatorade Player of the Year.

Tennessee commit Dylan Loy has been named Gatorade Tennessee Baseball Player of the Year.

Loy, a two-way player at Pigeon Forge High School (Pigeon Forge, Tennessee), is part of the Volunteers’ 2023 recruiting class.

He helped the Tigers claim a second consecutive runner-up finish in the TSSAA Division I Class AA state tournament in May.

Loy is the second Pigeon Forge player to win the award, joining Will Crowe, who won the award in 2013. Crowe played college baseball in the Southeastern Conference with South Carolina.

Loy is a left-handed pitcher and first baseman for the Tigers.

He had a 12-1 record, 0.59 ERA, 126 strikeouts in 59.2 innings pitched. Loy recorded a .422 batting average and 34 RBIs.
