2024 cornerback Cai Bates announced his commitment time.
Bates will announce his college commitment at 6:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-1, 177-pound cornerback is from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida.
Bates included Tennessee, LSU, Florida State, Texas A&M, Maryland, Ohio State, UCF, Florida, Colorado and Alabama in his top 10 schools on May 31.
The Vols have 18 commitments in its 2024 class: Cornerback Edwin Spillman, cornerback Kaleb Beasley, defensive lineman Carson Gentle, athlete Marcus Goree Jr., athlete Jonathan Echols, quarterback Jake Merklinger, offensive tackle Jesse Perry, offensive tackle Gage Ginther and safety Edrees Farooq, defensive lineman Jeremias Heard, edge rusher Kellen Lindstrom and running back Peyton Lewis, athlete Boo Carter and linebacker Jordan Burns and offensive lineman Max Anderson, wide receiver Braylon Staley, offensive lineman William Satterwhite and wide receiver Mike Matthews.
