The Vikings didn’t practice Wednesday, so the injury report is an estimate conducted by the team.
However, it’s still important to look at, considering how much it affects Minnesota’s defensive back group.
Cornerback Cameron Dantzler is listed as limited in practice due to a rib injury on the report. He hasn’t played since Week 1, so him being listed as limited is a good sign. Dantzler started the first game, so having him back on the field might help the defensive back corps.
Cornerbacks Mike Hughes and Kris Boyd were both given the did not practice designation. Hughes has a neck injury, and for Boyd, it’s his hamstring.
The Vikings are not playing a great Texans team, but a strong suit for Houston is quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Vikings new-look secondary will have to improve in order to shut down the Texans offense. It would help to have Dantzler, Hughes and Boyd in order to do so.
