Vikings Justin Jefferson questionable to return with hamstring injury

For the third time this season, Justin Jefferson left the game banged up

The injuries just keep coming for the Minnesota Vikings, and this one is the biggest one yet, as wide receiver Justin Jefferson is questionable to return with a hamstring injury.

Jefferson was injured on a touchdown drive that brought the Vikings back within one score against the Kansas City Chiefs. If the Vikings are going to make a comeback, they may have to do it without their best offensive player.

Jefferson hasn’t been much of a factor for the Vikings today, as he’s only mustered three catches for just 28 yards. Despite the paltry numbers, you have to figure that Jefferson would have figured heavily into the Vikings plans down the stretch.

If Jefferson can’t go the rest of the game, the onus will be placed squarely on the shoulders of Kirk Cousins to find other weapons he can depend on. That likely means an increase in targets for tight end T.J. Hockenson and rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison, who already has one touchdown today.
