Vikings get what they deserve in Touchdown Wire power rankings

The Vikings move down.

The Vikings lost to the then-winless Lions in walkoff fashion.

Minnesota does not deserve to be considered a top team. The Vikings don’t even deserve to be considered an average team at this point.

The team got what it deserved in Touchdown Wire’s most recent power rankings. The Vikings slipped to No. 22 overall after ranking No. 19 a week ago. Nick Wojton of Touchdown Wire wrote:

“The curious case of the Vikings losing close ones. But this time it was against the winless Lions. Enough said.”

Wotjon is right: what’s there to say at this point? Sure, the Vikings could still theoretically make the postseason, but what would they even do there?

If Minnesota wants to change its narrative, the team has a great chance to do so on Thursday. The Vikings square off against the Steelers to start the Week 14 slate. Minnesota desperately needs a victory to save a season where expectations ran high. The Vikings are currently favored in the matchup.
