Vikings depleted at cornerback after CB Cameron Dantzler downgraded to out

The Minnesota Vikings downgraded Cameron Dantzler to out for the Monday night game vs. the Chicago Bears.

When the Vikings released their injury report Friday, rookie corner Cameron Dantzler was listed as questionable.

Dantzler took a hard hit against the Packers and was taken off the field in a stretcher. He’s a fixture of the Vikings defense when he’s available, so Minnesota not having him for the game against Chicago Monday is big. And that ended up being the case.

Dantzler has been downgraded to out for the Monday night game. That leaves Minnesota without corners Mike Hughes, Mark Fields II and corner/safety George Iloka due to injury.

As first reported by Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, Minnesota will have Jeff Gladney, Kris Boyd, Chris Jones, Harrison Hand and Dylan Mabin for the Bears game.

This is a big game for both Chicago and Minnesota in prime time. The Vikings being depleted at cornerback is certainly not ideal.
