Vikings defensive PFF grades in Week 5 loss vs. Chiefs

The PFF grades for the Minnesota Vikings on defense are in and they look like an improved unit year over year

The grades from Pro Football Focus are in for the Minnesota Vikings 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and they came in rather decent.

Despite the loss, the Vikings defense held up well against Patrick Mahomes. He was able to complete 31-of-41 passes for 286 yards, but they held him in check, preventing Mahomes from doing what he does best.

Brian Flores blitzed Mahomes 50% of the time and it worked well. Unfortunately, the strategy of making Mahomes earn his way down the field didn’t work because Mahomes is the best in the game.

The defensive PFF grades are in and there were some interesting standouts.
