Vikings coach Mike Zimmer has an injury update on Anthony Barr

“He’s feeling better every single day,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said of Anthony Barr.

Just like 2020, the Vikings have some work to do in order to try and salvage their season.

Minnesota fell to 1-3 on Sunday. The Vikings have a few excuses: the Browns defensive line is stellar and the team was missing some key players.

Mike Zimmer has some updates for those key players:

Zimmer said he thinks Anthony Barr will play this week. The head coach also said that he has yet to hear back about Michael Pierce’s MRI.

“I think Nick Vigil has done a really nice job,” Zimmer said. “He’s very smart, very diligent. Anthony Barr has been in the system for a long, long time. There’s certain things we can do with him, that we haven’t been able to do in his first four ball games. He’s feeling better every single day.”

Barr was injured in the second game of the 2020 season with a torn pec. Now, he has a knee injury that has sidelined him from this year. We should have a better idea of when Barr gets back when the injury report comes out.
