Vikings cornerback Cameron Dantzler has missed three consecutive practices, according to multiple reports.
Dantzler earned the start Sunday in the Packers loss. He has been out of practice with a rib injury this week. Mark Craig of the Star Tribune reported that Dantzler was the only Vikings player not practicing Friday.
Dantzler not practicing all week was a bad sign for him playing Sunday against the Colts, and the Vikings confirmed it on Friday: the rookie corner has been ruled out.
He finished the Green Bay game with four solo tackles. He gave up a big touchdown to Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and looked to need more physicality in getting off blockers and making tackles.
However, the rookie looked good in training camp, by most accounts. It will be interesting to watch how the third-round pick will develop this year. Vikings fans will just have to wait, at least until after the Colts game.
