An intriguing matchup is in the works.
Devin Haney, a lightweight titleholder, reportedly is moving toward a deal to face long-reigning featherweight champ Gary Russell Jr. No date or site has been revealed.
Russell would have to move up two weight classes for the fight but he seems intent on doing it.
What would happen if they were to meet? Haney, 21, would have youth and natural size working in his favor. Russell, 32, would have the edge in experience.
