Oscar De La Hoya, inspired by Mike Tyson, said recently that he’s considering a comeback at 47.
And The Golden Boy suggested he was not talking about exhibitions, which Tyson and Evander Holyfield have mentioned. De La Hoya mentioned the possibility of facing the best active boxers in sanctioned bouts.
He has hinted at a comeback in the past. And the way he went out — a brutal knockout loss against Manny Pacquiao in 2008 — makes it difficult believe De La Hoya is serious.
