Victor Wembanyama speaks to media after Spurs loss to Timberwolves

Check out Victor Wembanyama’s full press conference after the San Antonio Spurs’ loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The San Antonio Spurs lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night by a score of 117-110, moving them to 0-1 in the In-Season Tournament group play standings. It was Victor Wembanyama’s first NBA matchup with fellow Frenchman Rudy Gobert, who he’s had a relationship with for years.

Wembanyama had an impressive showing, which should provide Spurs fans some relief, as he had been struggling to match up with stronger bigs heading into the matchup against Gobert. The rookie finished the night with 29 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, and four blocks while shooting 12-of-21 from the field and 3-of-7 from behind the three-point line.

After the game, Wembanyama spoke to the media about his performance, Gobert, and other topics. Check out his full post-game press conference here.

With Wembanyama back on track, the Spurs still weren’t able to pick up the win, but his performance should be a good sign of things to come.
