Victor Oladipo reportedly asked opposing players ‘Can I come play with y’all?’

This is not a good look.

It seems to be a not-so-well-kept secret that Victor Oladipo wants to get out of Indiana.

According to a new report, Oladipo was overtly asking players on other teams if it was alright if he came to play with them next season. He was not shy about it either. He’d ask the other players in front of his teammates in the middle of a game, J. Michael of the Indy Star reports.

He reportedly asked players from the Raptors, Heat and Knicks if he could play with them next season.

“It happened vs. the Toronto Raptors. It happened vs. the Miami Heat. It happened vs. the New York Knicks.

“Can I come play with y’all?” Or some iteration of that puzzling statement.

That’s what Victor Oladipo said — in front of Indiana Pacers teammates — increasing the agitation with the star guard in the locker room, three league sources with direct knowledge of the situation told IndyStar. Aaron Turner, Oladipo’s agent, didn’t respond to requests for comment.”

Welp. Looks like his days in Indiana could be numbered. Oladipo said that he doesn’t want to necessarily leave Indiana on an Instagram Live session with Fat Joe, but said he just wants to win.

And, look, everyone understands that. NBA careers are finite. These guys can’t play forever and have limited windows for winning championships.

But, still, this is sort of rude. Plus, yo, the KNICKS?! Really, Vic? The Raptors and the Heat are fine. But the Knicks are the Knicks.

Twitter was really confused by this. They had lots of Knicks jokes.

It’s also clear that, if this is true, Oladipo is absolutely fed up with the Pacers. Because that’s the ONLY way you could ever want to actually play for the Knicks.

Sheesh. What a mess. Hopefully, for everyone’s sake, this doesn’t end too terribly. With the way things are going, though, it’s hard to see how it doesn’t.
