Vanderbilt falls out of US LBM Coaches Poll ahead of matchup with Auburn

Auburn will look to extend the Commodore’s losing streak to two games this Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn football feels confident heading into the week after earning its first win over Kentucky last Saturday, 24-10.

It also helps that their next opponent, Vanderbilt, will enter the game after dropping a tough home contest to Texas, 27-24. The win kicked the Commodores out of this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll after they ranked No. 25 ahead of their date with the Longhorns. Vanderbilt joins Navy as teams no longer ranked in the weekly coaches poll.

Eight teams from the SEC are included in this week’s poll. Georgia remains the top representative by checking in at No. 2 while Texas and Tennessee round out the top 10 at No. 6 and No. 7 respectively. Texas A&M moves up three spots to No. 11 after taking down LSU on Saturday, 38-23. The loss drops LSU to No. 16, a nine-spot decrease. Alabama jumps up one place to No. 14 after shutting out No. 17 Missouri at home. Following its loss to Alabama, Missouri is hanging on to a spot in the poll at No. 23. Finally, Ole Miss remains at No. 18 despite taking down Oklahoma at home.

Here is a look at the US LBM Coaches Poll ahead of week 10’s action.
