Van Jefferson being evaluated for concussion

Van Jefferson left Sunday’s game in the first quarter and was evaluated for a concussion.

Van Jefferson left Sunday’s game against the Giants in the first quarter after taking a fairly big hit attempting to make a catch on the opening drive. He was evaluated for a concussion, though the Rams have not given a prognosis or update on his status for the game.

Jefferson has been a starting receiver for the Rams this season, catching 14 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns. DeSean Jackson would be next up to replace him on the depth chart if he’s unable to continue.

The Rams also announced that Jake Funk is questionable to return with a hamstring injury. He was limited by a hamstring injury in practice on Wednesday, so he may have aggravated it.
