The former Ute is going North

Utah State has added its second transfer from the University of Utah within the week as running back Devonta’e Henry-Cole has decided to transfer to play for the Aggies. Henry-Cole actually intended on playing at BYU but he has been let out of his letter of intent after signing as a graduate transfer.

Now, he will be eligible to play this year with Utah State and add some depth behind the presumed starter Jaylen Warren who made the Doak Walker watchlist which is handed out to the best running back in college football.

In his four seasons at Utah, Henry-Cole averaged 5.2 yards per carry and rushed for 469 yards. He saw limited action due to the Utes having Zack Moss who was recently drafted by the Buffalo Bills.

The past few years, Utah State has gone at least two and sometimes three-deep at the running back position so adding Henry-Cole will give head coach Gary Andersen options in the backfield.
