KNOXVILLE — A University of Tennessee football recruiting target is making the most of his opportunities as he continues to play through an injury.
Oak Ridge High School junior running back Kendall Jackson has battled shoulder problems throughout the 2020 high school football season, causing him to miss games.
After returning to the Wildcats’ lineup, he has made an impact.
In his team’s last outing on Oct. 2, Jackson rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown as Oak Ridge routed Region 3-5A rival Karns, 56-14.
Jackson and the Wildcats (4-3 overall, 3-1 in the region) will have an open date this week.
Jackson has multiple NCAA Division 1 scholarship offers, including one from the Volunteers.
He has also received offers from Tulane, Arizona and Eastern Kentucky, all of his suitors made offers since April.
