USC target in focus: Adyin Breland scouting report

.@DonJamesSports evaluates this USC target.

Aydin Breeland of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, is a huge USC target for the 2024 class. He’s listed at 6-foot-5, 290 pounds, and is a four-star prospect.

Breland is one of the top players in the country for the class of 2024. He’s currently ranked as the No. 37 overall player and the No. 6 defensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Breland is also the No. 3 player from the state of California.

Oregon, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, USC, Michigan, Texas A&M, Nebraska, LSU, and Tennessee are in his top 10 schools, but for now we will focus on the player and what he brings to the table on the field.

Breland’s physical abilities, explosiveness, lateral agility, length, power, and a relentless motor make him an ideal fit for any style of defense. He has proven to be an effective pass rusher, showing outstanding pass-rushing skills.

Although he has played nose tackle at times, he is most comfortable playing between the gaps at the next level. The Mater Dei Monarch is built like an edge rusher who plays defensive tackle. He’s so athletic that he can even slide out along the edge from time to time
