USC men’s hoops team crashed Caitlin Clark party overseas

Also on a foreign tour, the USC men’s basketball team swung by to take in the Caitlin Clark Show in person in Dubrovnik.

Everybody wants to crash the Caitlin Clark party.

That includes the USC Trojans men’s basketball team. In the midst of their own overseas trek across Greece and Croatia, USC made sure to swing by in Dubrovnik to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes dominate the Croatia All-Stars.

The Trojans were treated to a pair of vintage Clark trifectas and a nine-point outing from the superstar in the Hawkeyes’ win. Clark’s big performance on the trip came during a 30-point performance that included 6-of-13 3-point shooting versus the Croatian Club Team several days prior.

USC’s men’s basketball team saw a big game from Iowa forward Hannah Stuelke. She poured in 20 points on 6-of-7 shooting with eight rebounds. Taylor McCabe was actually the top 3-point marksman for the Hawkeyes with the Trojans in attendance, draining 5-of-8 3-point tries against the Croatian All-Stars.

USC swinging by to catch the Caitlin Clark show is just the latest in a long line of recognition from other sports stars. LeBron James and Dick Vitale made sure to give Clark and the Hawkeyes their due praise during last season’s NCAA Tournament run.

Still, it’s pretty cool to see the Trojans took time out of their trip in Dubrovnik to watch the Hawkeyes.

Interestingly enough, Iowa’s men’s basketball team might just see that USC squad early this season in the inaugural Rady Children’s Invitational in San Diego across the Thanksgiving holiday. The Hawkeyes will reportedly open the invitational against Oklahoma and would face either the winner or loser of the USC-Seton Hall matchup.

It’s a USC men’s team that holds some intrigue in its own right. Of course, everyone is hoping that LeBron James’ eldest son, Bronny James, can quickly return and be healthy for USC. Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest scare back in July.

Bronny James joins a talented signing class for the Trojans that also features the nation’s top-ranked point guard and player in Isaiah Collier per 247Sports. USC also returns leading scorer Boogie Ellis, who averaged 17.7 points per game last season.
