USA TODAY Sports projects all Big 12 football records for 2024

Utah tops the projections for the Big 12 football conference in 2024, with Colorado just missing bowl eligibility.

With the loss of Texas and Oklahoma, the Big 12 Conference has a new look as the 2024 college football season arrives. This leaves the door open for other programs to take the conference title and give themselves a chance to reach the College Football Playoff.

Paul Myerberg of USA TODAY Sports wrote about every team in college football and projected their season record. Myerberg has the Big 12 bunched up at the top, with Cincinnati and Arizona State at the bottom. This is what he had to say about the league:

The league has a vastly different look with the addition of several former Pac-12 members. One, Utah, is the preseason favorite. Kansas State has a new quarterback in Avery Johnson but the same benchmark of at least eight wins in the regular season. UCF and Kansas are just behind the Utes and Wildcats, as are Oklahoma State and Iowa State. And what about Colorado? The Buffaloes will be better in Deion Sanders’ second year, but not quite good enough to get to six wins in our projections.

Here is how he projected all the teams for the 2024 season:

The Big 12 season will start as early as Week 2 when the Baylor Bears head to Utah to take on the Utes.
