While it’s perhaps closer than some might expect, the Buffalo Bills do win the AFC East title in USA TODAY‘s early 2020 NFL season predictions.
At 10-6, the Bills take the AFC East for the first time since 1995. But in second place is an 8-8 Patriots squad. A decent record considering the team lost quarterback Tom Brady.
The Pats do have a stout defense still, but Brady was a big piece of their two-decades worth of success. USAT appears to be believing in the abilities of quarterback Jarrett Stidham, to some extent. Despite that, the .500 does not get the Patriots into the playoffs.
In terms of the recent of the division, the Dolphins finish 6-10 while the Jets land at 5-10.
