US LBM Coaches Poll – Week 5: Arkansas still has ranked teams left

Wasn’t Arkansas’ schedule supposed to be easier this year? So much for that.

As subpar as the SEC is in 2023, the league is still dangerous.

Especially for teams like Arkansas.

Five weeks into the season and the Razorbacks aren’t getting any votes for the US LBM Coaches Poll anymore. Not after a three-game losing streak that most recently extended with a loss against Texas A&M in the Southwest Classic.

More trouble is on the horizon for Arkansas, as well. The Hogs’ Week 6 opponent, Ole Miss, jumped five spots to No. 15 after beating LSU. The Tigers, incidentally, fell 11 spots to No. 23. Arkansas’ Week 7 opponent, Alabama, went up a spot to No. 11, as well. And in the final regular-season game of the year, Arkansas plays No. 22 Missouri.

Nevermind No. 1 Georgia, No. 18 Tennessee, No. 20 Kentucky and vote-getters Texas A&M and Florida also in the league.

You can take a complete look at the poll just to see how far Arkansas is outside.
