Updated SEC recruiting rankings midway through October

With less than two months to go before the early signing period, the Alabama Crimson Tide lead the nation and SEC in recruiting rankings.

Not only are we at the midway point of the 2022 college football season, we currently sit less than two months away from the 2023 early signing period.

As usual, we see the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Ohio State Buckeyes all among the top five. Future SEC members the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners are also in the mix for the top five classes in 2023. The Longhorns currently hold a commitment from the No. 1 player in the class, Arch Manning.

In all the SEC holds seven of the top 10 classes if you include the future members, but without them, the conference has five of the 10. Not too shabby. Of the 14 conference schools only Auburn, Vanderbilt, and Missouri rank outside the top 40 classes.
