The 49ers traded the 13th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft to the Buccaneers. In return they acquired the 14th overall pick and the 117th overall pick.

The 49ers badly needed additional picks in the middle rounds since they weren’t slated to pick between Rounds 1 and 5.
Their move back in the first round gave them PICKS which allows them a little more freedom to move around the board on Days 2 and 3. Don’t be surprised if they move down again to bolster their draft capital outside the first round.
